Broderie anglaise is a textile trend that first saw popularity in the 1800’s but became popular once again during the 1950’s. The great news is that because of this we are fortunate to have an abundance of this gorgeous floral cut out broderie algaise fabric still in existence! It’s for this reason that I have chosen to use exclusively vintage fabrics to fulfil each order. I’m a massive believer in the idea that if they fabric already exists we should avoid buying new and use it! So when I began to sketch this design and research fabrics I knew I had to go vintage.

What will using vintage broderie anglaise fabric mean for you?

Firstly, your broderie anglaise blouse will be completely one off and made to measure for you. I will source pure cotton vintage broderie anglaise fabrics as orders are made. This will mean fabrics will vary slightly in appearance. Variations will most likely be found in the embroidery motifs (floral cut out pattern). Although I will be sourcing individual fabric for each order I will be exclusively sourcing 100% pure cotton white broderie anglaise fabrics that resemble the photographed blouse closely. Furthermore, I will contact you before I order your fabric to ensure you get the final say and feel sully part of the made to order process!
